Warning to coulrophobes: clowns ahead. But for those who didn't run in fear from the Stephen King movie It, clowns are only one of the many attractions at Carnival, which opened this fall on the fifth floor above Bowlmor Lanes. Kid-friendly by day and just-for-grown-ups by night, Carnival brings amusement-park favorites like the dunk tank and performances by stilt-walkers, fire-breathers and other circus types together under one enormous roof. All in all, there's 16,000 square feet of carnival space to explore. Late-night revelers should be wary of tippling too many booze-laced snow cones and take caution when considering the adults-only Dunk Tank (a two-gallon vodka, gin, rum and juice concoction). For those who don't heed this warning, be sure to soak up some of the excess with cotton candy, candy apples and all the carnie fare you should have outgrown (but haven't).
