Fall 2016 NYC Art Guide

nycgo.com staff

New York City is always a hub for art from around the world, but this fall’s exhibitions seem especially cosmopolitan: there’s art from Tibet, China, Italy, Austria and the pilgrimage city of Jerusalem. Closer to home, the monthlong Archtober celebrates local architecture; Beverly Buchanan and Agnes Martin get major museum retrospectives; and the City’s LGBT history is told through a collection of paintings, photos and letters. Meanwhile, an art-centric look at the movement Martin Luther spurred shows that the Reformation was not televised but rather brought to you by very-old-school media.
