Before capping off the evening with a complimentary glass of champagne, enjoy a menu ripe with New York's finest and freshest regional cuisine, including an appetizer of pumpkin seed–crusted goat cheese and your choice of cod or duck for the main course. ICON Restaurant

Located in Murray Hill at W New York – The Court, ICON Restaurant is offering both five- and seven-course prix-fixe New Year’s meals from haute cuisine chef Michael Wurster. The tempting spreads include Maine lobster, your choice of beef short rib or lamb for the main course and, for dessert, a chocolate-and-praline bomb with coffee sauce and espresso faux caviar. Shula’s Steakhouse
End 2008 in elegance with a meal at Shula's Steakhouse, where white linen tablecloths make for a sophisticated ambience, at the Westin New York at Times Square. At a cost of $99 before 7pm and $175 after 8pm, guests can have their choice of filet mignon, red snapper fillet, prime rib or chicken breast for their main course at this internationally renowned steakhouse. BLT Market
Laurent Tourondel, former chef of the Upper East Side's Cello and author of the cookbook Bistro Laurent Tourondel: New American Bistro Cooking, provides a warm and welcoming environment to create New Year's Eve memories at BLT Market. Their three-course prix-fixe menu is available from 5:30pm to 7:30pm at $95 per person. Reservations are required; call 212-521-6125 to save your spot at this antique-feeling, country-chic restaurant at the Ritz-Carlton New York, Central Park. If you really want to treat your taste buds, reserve a seat for their special four-course prix-fixe menu. The cost is $155 per person, and seating begins at 9pm.

Maya New York
Let chef Richard Sandoval take you on a flavorful adventure at Maya New York, located on the Upper East Side. At a cost of $59, guests can kick off the New Year with a three-course Mexican meal from 5pm to 9pm. A Mexican New Year’s celebration is taking place at Pampano this December 31. Another creation of chef Richard Sandoval (along with opera star Plácido Domingo), Pampano is offering guests a $99 four-course menu that includes a midnight tequila toast.
