2017 Tony Award Nominees

Brian Sloan

This year’s Tony Award nominations honoring the best of Broadway are out. Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812  heads the pack with 12 nods. Comet’s leading man, Josh Groban, was recognized for his Broadway debut, as was fellow pop superstar Bette Midler for her star turn in Hello, Dolly. Dear Evan Hansen and Come From Away should provide good competition for top musical, while this year's best play nominees feature four American playwrights making their Broadway debuts.

Many nominated shows and performers are still onstage, so check them out before the winners are announced on June 11 at Radio City Music Hall. (Shows whose titles are not linked have finished their runs.) Read on for nominees in the main categories.
