Since the pandemic started, I have been walking around Astoria, where I live, and I have been admiring people's gardens in much greater detail than I had before. This has expanded what I think of as my "community" to include the plants animals and insects in my neighborhood.
GaHee Park is a participant in Art on the Grid, a citywide, open-air exhibition presented by Public Art Fund. Conceived in the spring of 2020, the exhibition features 50 artists’ reflections on the converging crises of the coronavirus pandemic and systemic racism in our country.
