New York City can get pretty festive during the holidays. That includes its bars. These holiday pop-ups look like they were decorated by Buddy the Elf himself and, with the bonus of their specialty cocktails, make excellent settings for toasting the season. Feeling in the holiday spirit? Check out these bars before they go back into hibernation.

This annual extravaganza brings kitsch decorations to the posh NoMad Hotel. Seasonal drinks include punch in a snow globe and a candy cane colada.

Through December 30
This Carroll Gardens favorite makes a mean margarita year-round, but the Christmas version comes in a cheery glass—plus there are seasonal twists on classics such as the old-fashioned and gin and tonic. Bartenders in festive garb add to the holiday spirit, of course.

Miracle on 12th Street at Mace
Through December 31
Mace, in the East Village, is an OG of NYC’s holiday pop-up bar game. Owner Greg Boehm is the creator of the Miracle Christmas pop-up concept, which has now branched out to bars around the world. Expect lots of lights, decorations that hang from the ceiling and a big dose of Santa.

Through December 31
Miracle has also made its way to this Downtown Brooklyn bar, where tinsel lines the ceiling and French 75s are served with a festive dash of mulled wine purée.

Another Christmas miracle: another East Village spot slinging cocktails in Santa-shaped mugs.

Sippin’ Santa at Boilermaker
Through December 31
Sippin’ Santa is the Hawaiian-shirt-wearing cousin of Miracle. Hit the East Villge to sip tiki-cocktail creations by Jeff “Beachbum” Berry, such as the Kris Kringle Colada with rum, cynar, pineapple juice and cream of coconut.

Seasonal cocktails (choose from 13, including the Manischewitz-forward Dreidel Will Rock) taste even better beside the crackling fireplace in this Williamsburg restaurant’s cozy bar room.

Naughty or Nice at The Skinny Bar & Lounge
Through December 31
Things are a little less jolly down on the Lower East Side with The Skinny’s anti-holiday take on the season. There will be visits from a disgruntled Santa, Krampus karaoke and a “Wheel of Misfortune” game for the less-enthusiastic celebrant.

Ho Ho Holiday Lounge at The Springs
December 5–January 1
Jingle all the way to Greenpoint to visit this pop-up that features a trivia night, a white elephant gift exchange and visits from the man in red himself.

Pink Holiday Playground at the Moxy Times Square
Through January 1
Who says Christmas decorations have to be red and green? Not the Moxy. Its buzzy rooftop bar Magic Hour is decked out in all-pink everything: twinkle lights, ornaments and drinks that play up the theme.

Tacky Winter Takeover at The Late Late
Through January 20
’Tis the season to be tacky, and this Lower East side spot embraces it. Check out their unapologetically gaudy decor and Christmas cocktails like the Pinch of Grinch. Don’t forget to bring a toy (before or on December 19) for their Toys for Tots drive.

Snow Globe in the Sky at Ophelia
Through February 28
A wintry mix is in the forecast at this sophisticated 26th-floor lounge atop Midtown’s Beekman Tower. Its soaring ceilings are adorned with scores of hanging lights, crystals and snowflakes for the season. Special holiday cocktails mix rum and cognac with cinnamon and lotus-cookie-infused cream.
