As fans around the country gear up for the 2012 National Football League season, all eyes are on New York. Is this because of the Giants? Pshaw. All they did was win the Super Bowl. The Jets, meanwhile, boast Tim Tebow and Mark “Mr. Handsome” Sanchez, a pair of charismatic quarterbacks who have proven uniquely adept at grabbing headlines. But which Jet will own the first month of the season? Will it be SepTebow or Sanchember? There's only one way to decide: not on the field, but through the use of a highly scientific charticle.

Name and Number   Tim Tebow, #15   Mark Sanchez, #6
Alma Mater   University of Florida '09   University of Southern California '09
  Career Passing Yardage   2,383   9,209
  Career Rushing Yardage   887   314
Style of Play   Scrambling; likely to be used out of the Wildcat formation.   Conventional pocket passer.
Playing the Field   Rumored to be seeing everyone from Katy Perry to Lindsey Vonn, but there's little evidence that these relationships exist.   Has dated Jamie-Lynn Sigler, and has been linked to Kate Upton and Eva Longoria.
  Astrological Sign   Leo   Scorpio
Jersey Sales (Since April 2012)   Ranked third, according to Forbes.   Outside the top 25.
Favorite Broadway Show   Enjoyed Wicked. And, of course, Rock of Ages.   Introduced a performance by the cast of Memphis at the 2010 Tonys, but loves them all.
City Hangouts   Has been spotted at Tao and Scarpetta, and even went to a Yankees game, where he received a, er, Bronx cheer.   Hits all the clubs and catches Knicks games (he and fellow Jet Santonio Holmes didn't go unnoticed by the Madison Square Garden crowd at a recent match).
Shirtless Picture in GQ   September 2012   September 2011
Custom NYC Sandwich   “Jetbow” at Carnegie Deli.   None that we know of. Can somebody get on this? (“Sanchwich,” anyone?)
Dog   A Rhodesian ridgeback named Bronx (formerly Bronco).   Once ate a hot dog on the sideline, during a game.

The Verdict: Tebow is so hot right now; he's getting plenty of attention and will force defenses to prepare for different looks from the Jets offense. But with something to prove, Sanchez is sure to come out firing—and he owned this town when Tebow was still stuck on the bench in Denver. There may yet be room for both of them on the field. Whatever happens this season, Gang Green definitely has the most talked-about—and, we must say, best-looking—QB tandem in the NFL.
