Brooklyn Navy Yard

A major vessel-building location since the Revolutionary War, the Brooklyn Navy Yard was incorporated in 1801 as America’s top federal shipbuilding facility. Over 200 years later, after decades of neglect, this 300-plus-acre area has been rehabilitated as a thriving industrial park, with over 40 buildings, three dry docks, four active piers and more than 250 tenants, from art and graphic design firms like AR-C Designs, to trucking and industrial shipping concerns like Del Express, Inc.
