Take the Lexington Avenue 4 train to the last stop, about 45 minutes from Midtown Manhattan. For a faster trip, hop on Metro-North’s Harlem Line from Grand Central Terminal.

Fun fact
Woodlawn Cemetery, a National Historic Landmark known for its ornate mausoleums, is the final resting place of Herman Melville, Fiorella LaGuardia, Duke Ellington and other famed New Yorkers.
