The commemoration of the American Revolution's only peace conference, when Benjamin Franklin, John Adams, Edward Rutledge and British Adm. Richard Howe came to Tottenville, is Conference House's signature event. In addition to the re-enactment, the day also features lessons in wood crafting, quilting, and colonial tailoring from Staten Island Hand Spinners and Weavers and a taste of the 1700s with a colonial cooking demonstration that features Brunswick Stew and fried apple.
