The third leg of the Triple Crown—by far the area's biggest horse-racing event—takes place in Elmont (yes, that's Elmont, just east of Queens—not Belmont, the Bronx neighborhood), New York. The festival lasts three days, culminating with the Belmont Stakes on Saturday—for which it cost only $15 to sit in the grandstand last year. There's also live entertainment, including performances from Andy Grammer, the cast of Broadway's On Your Feet and Billy Joel tribute band Big Shot.
