The third leg of the Triple Crown—by far the area's biggest horse-racing event—takes place in Elmont (yes, that's Elmont, just east of Queens—not Belmont, the Bronx neighborhood), New York. The festival lasts three days, culminating with the Belmont Stakes on Saturday, 6/9—for which it cost only $15 to sit in the grandstand last year. There's also live music, with this year's lineup featuring Billy Joel cover band Big Shot and 1990s hit machine Third Eye Blind. This year marks the event's 150th anniversary, and Justify has a shot at the Triple Crown after having won the Kentucky Derby and the Preakness Stakes.
