When Bruce Davidson joined Magnum in 1958, he was mentored by Henri Cartier-Bresson, who helped him redefine the genre of documentary photography and photojournalism. Davidson is best known for his photographic essays of the urban environment, focusing on everyday people and the public spaces they inhabit.
