Although best known for Where the Wild Things Are and other iconic children's works, Maurice Sendak had a prolific career in set and costume design. This exhibit, the first dedicated to his work in the field, includes nearly 150 objects. You'll find storyboards, sketches, designs and dioramas from productions such as Mozart’s Magic Flute, Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker and even an opera based on Where the Wild Things Are.
