Rising New York–based artist Eric N. Mack holds his first NYC solo exhibition, showcasing various textile-based works that are hung, mounted and draped in the Brooklyn Museum’s Great Hall. Mack combines abstract painting with nontraditional materials such as multitextured and hand-stained textiles, pegboard, photographs and magazine images. The site-responsive installation gives visitors an intimate experience with Mack’s works, with the artist fastening and suspending his pieces so viewers will have to walk through them and interact with the textiles themselves.
