August Strindberg’s 1888 play Miss Julie is reimagined by South African playwright Yaël Farber. On the evening of the annual Freedom Day celebration, a white Afrikaans landowner’s daughter named Julie falls for her father’s well-traveled, well-read laborer, John, who is Xhosa. Their erotic evening evolves into a battle of race, gender and power. This production contains nudity and adult content and is recommended for audiences ages 18 and over.
