Anna Held Audette came to Staten Island in 1994 to track down the work of John A. Noble, whose career captured the ruins of the Age of Sail. Noble's work inspired Audette, who is known for her paintings of industrial ruins and obsolete machinery that chronicle the decline of industry. Among the highlights of this exhibit are some of her large-scale paintings, done in ships along the shores of Staten Island. For more information, visit noblemaritime.org.
