New York City Tartan Week celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, with events like a cocktail party on April 5; readings, music and a Ceilidh featuring Scottish entertainment and food as part of the National Tartan Day Observance on April 6; and the famous Tartan Day Parade on April 7, where bagpipers, dancers and thousands of marchers celebrate all things Scottish; the grand marshal this year is Scottish singer KT Tunstall. The parade begins at 2pm, making its way up Sixth Avenue from 44th to 55th Streets. Immediately following will be a post-parade party at B.B. King Blues Club on 42nd Street.
