In honor of Pride, the New York Public Library is hosting a series of daily events throughout the month of June including screenings, talks and workshops for all ages at various branches across Manhattan. Some highlights include an Anti-Prom (June 9) for teens to safely celebrate themselves while dancing the night away, Drag Queen Story Hour (June 12) for children up to age 7 followed by a indoor mermaid parade and a screening of Mike Nichols’ 1990s classic The Birdcage (June 25). Plus, check out the library’s main branch exhibition You Say You Want a Revolution: Remembering the 60s, which highlights the Stonewall uprising in 1968.
