The relationship between American artists and politics during the 1930s and 1940s is the theme of this exhibit, which is made up of more than sixty works of art organized under six themes. Among the artists included are Leonard Baskin, Stuart Davis, Phillip Evergood, Hugo Gellert, William Gropper, Louis Lozowick, Ben Shahn, Raphael Soyer and Lynd Ward. Their drawings and paintings will be showed alongside contemporary work by Sue Coe, a New York-based artist, who has been inspired by the other showcased artists.
