The oldest bar on Staten Island, Liedy’s Shore Inn is a saloon-like neighborhood joint on the north shore, complete with a tin ceiling, cheap drinks and live music. The fourth-generation family owned business has been around since 1905, and patrons love the unpretentious, no-frills vibe inside, where locals gather to imbibe and dance to the live bands or music playing on the jukebox. The bar has even made some pop-culture appearances, being featured in Madonna’s “Papa Don’t Preach” video, the movie A Bronx Tale and two Law & Order episodes.
