This laid-back bar has the elements of both a neighborhood hangout and a destination cocktail lounge. Loverboy’s owners replicate many of the crowd-pleasing features from their first bar, Mother’s Ruin in Nolita, at this East Village venue: inviting floor-to-ceiling windows, boozy slushies and a casual—but not divey—feel. An ever-rotating menu of cocktails is the star here, but bar bites like arancini, corn esquites and pizza slices are far from an afterthought.
