The oldest bar in Queens (and possibly the oldest in the City—it opened in 1853), Neir's serves locals with a taste for a simple setting and uncomplicated drinks. Mae West performed here, Martin Scorcese filmed part of Goodfellas on site and the pool table in the back always sees some action. Although easily recognized by those from the neighborhood, visitors should keep their eyes peeled when trying to find this place—it's housed in a nondescript brown townhouse and doesn't have a sign.
