Daily food and drink specials live up to The Daily's name, a hideaway cocktail bar and lounge with a creative spirit. To see what's going on from night to night, it's best to check its Facebook or Twitter pages. Cocktails hew to what might have been ordered by a discerning gentleman during Prohibition. See, for instance, a circa-1927 Boulevardier made with bourbon, Campari and sweet vermouth. Gutsy small plates/bar snacks include pig's-head bánh mì, fried oysters, nuts dusted with ancho chile and cinnamon, and a cheese plate with grilled figs. It all comes from the excellent kitchen of Brad Farmerie's adjacent restaurant, Public.
