Bloomingdale's
The Grinch, the 2018 film with Benedict Cumberbatch voicing the title role, serves as the theme for the windows at this NYC mainstay. Expect fashion-forward vignettes dedicated to Whoville and the green guy himself.
Bergdorf Goodman
The windows at this luxury department store are always bold, and this year is no different. There is a sweet twist to the dazzling displays, inspired by treats like peppermints, cotton candy, gingerbread and soft-serve ice cream.
Louis Vuitton
Sparkling palm and bonsai trees bring an almost tropical twist to the holiday windows at this Fifth Avenue shop, but the showpiece is a conical tree decorated with ornaments that reference the luxury brand’s logo, shoes and bags.
Macy’s
These cheerful windows offer a winter wonderland, with cities made of ice, smiling snowmen and an oversize arctic fox. As always, the classic film Miracle on 34th Street—which prominently features Macy’s—is represented.
Hermés
The intricate displays at the luxury brand’s Madison Avenue location are made out of an unexpected material—pipe cleaners. The colorful creations depict world-famous buildings, an amusement park and other scenes accented by the brand’s signature scarves.
Barney's
The windows at this department store’s flagship location have been kept simple this year—for a cause. The message is “Make Change,” and 40,000 pennies are incorporated into the design to raise money and awareness for the global Save the Children campaign.
Saks Fifth Avenue
The windows at Saks take inspiration from a trip to Broadway, following a glam theatergoer as she preps for a night out. The monochromatic windows range from deep red to emerald green. Bonus: at dusk, the store’s facade illuminates with an intricate light show.
Tiffany & Co.
Robots are the unexpected stars of this famed shop’s Fifth Avenue windows. The high-tech displays also include an oven in the brand’s signature blue “baking” cookies topped with gems.
FAO Schwarz
The renowned toy store just reopened in November in Rockefeller Center and wasted no time decorating its windows for the holidays. Ornaments hang from the ceiling, and oversize stuffed animals and nutcrackers add to the timeless look.
