Bar Bolonat

Einat Admony is the queen of falafel in New York City with her two Taïm locations and traveling food truck. A wider range of her delicious Israeli street food is at NoLIta's Balaboosta. The menu at Bar Bolonat, her West Village bistro, is even more ambitious, with roasted poussin, grilled dorade and fat shrimp in Yemeni curry—a silky blend of coconut milk, schug (Yemeni hot sauce) and cilantro. A small round of malawah (buttery layered bread) helps soak up the liquid. The spare, modern space has tables lined up along picture windows and a marble bar where you can pop in for a bite and a classic cocktail with exotic twists, such as a "Saz-arak" with Old Overholt rye, cassis, grapefruit bitters and Angostura bitters.
