This unpretentious Williamsburg watering hole caters to British expats and Anglophiles who appreciate a properly poured Guinness and football (soccer) matches on the telly. To go with that pint are beer-battered fish-and-chips and a burger with a barmy number of toppings, including bacon, cheese, salsa, mushrooms, hummus, egg and avocado. The menu goes beyond pub food with an extensive selection of salads and vegetables, grilled salmon and warm chocolate-croissant pudding. The vast space, located directly under the Williamsburg Bridge, can accommodate large parties and is affordable too—you might get away with spending just a tenner, especially at happy hour.
