Hall is not much bigger than a hallway—albeit a very nice one, with mellow lighting and antique wood paneling. Chef Hiroki Odo (a Kajitsu alum) oversees a casual, precise daytime menu of coffee, tea, pastries and sandwiches. At night, the restaurant turns its attention to intricate cocktails and appealing bar snacks (fried chicken, fried calamari). A back room, called Odo, presents a seasonal, multicourse Japanese tasting menu that might include fried taro with Pacific spiny lobster, a snow crab dish and assorted sushi.
