This Acadian bistro has New Orleans roots, though it is adult and sophisticated—no place for a Bourbon Street–style bender. Co-owner Ken Jackson used to be a partner and wine buyer at Herbsaint in the Big Easy and brings those talents here, assembling a list that's attuned to the best matches for oysters (fresh or grilled with cabbage garlic butter), pork cracklings with peanuts, roasted cod with andouille sausage and salt pork confit lobster with grits and wild spinach. The copper-topped bar and inviting dining room are gently lit and the jazzy music is low, making it an ideal date place in the East Village.
