Tangy, hand-churned butter on fresh-baked bread is just one reason to seek out Norman in its corner of Greenpoint, which has seen an influx of new bars and restaurants. The lofty, contemporary, all-day café is adjacent to A/D/O, a design incubator. Its founders are Claus Meyer (co-owner of Copenhagen's Noma) and Fredrik Berselius, a Swedish chef at Aska in Williamsburg. At breakfast (ancient grain porridge, breakfast sandwiches) and lunch (crab toast, sunchoke soup), it’s counter service. Dinner is full-service, with a rotating, seasonal menu.
