Depending on how busy the kitchen is at Otto's Tacos, you might be able to order an unlisted specialty called the Gorgon, a deep-fried masa tortilla filled with carne asada, guacamole and spicy serrano crema. But don't worry if you can't get it: the tacos, including the shrimp and the carne asada, are scrumptious. The menu is small, which means everything has been calibrated to perfection, including bright green guacamole, crunchy masa fries and sugary churros. Corn tortillas are made fresh all day. To drink are Mexican Coke and beer. The contemporary, rough-hewn space has limited seating (more in summer on the sidewalk), the sort of place where you step up to the counter to order and wait for your name to be called. Owner Otto Cedeno seems to have thought through every step, including recyclable dishware.
