Glass noodles with vegetables, oyster mushrooms and melting bulgogi beef is among the amazing creations at Soogil, a minimalist, modern Korean restaurant in the East Village. Chef-proprietor Soogil Lim worked at Daniel for seven years and here applies French technique to Korean dishes like soy-braised short rib and sweet potato beignets paired with chilled white kimchi soup. The low-lit space has seating at a large communal table, a wooden counter bar and private alcoves.
