Pull up to the bar and join the manly meat club, held all day, every day at The Cannibal. More than 300 craft beers are on the list, the ideal foil for dishes like corned beef tongue sandwich, and kielbasa with sauerkraut and old-fashioned mustard. There's something of a small French train station meets Petticoat Junction feel to the space, with roughened patina walls and a miscellany of groceries stocked on the shelves. The same team is behind the Belgian restaurant, Resto, next door. Lunch focuses on meaty sandwiches (the grilled cheese with Vermont cheddar, gruyère, bacon and pork belly is particularly good), and dinner features a slow-roasted half pig's head with fennel, honey and pickled cherry peppers. There's also boudin noir, boudin blanc and whipped lardo on toast. This place is charming and intimate, but it’s not for the timid.
