Slip into this fine watering hole before or after a show at the nearby Brooklyn Academy of Music. Toby Cecchini and Joel Tompkins, also behind the revered Long Island Bar, preside over the spare, industrial space. Classic and creative cocktails are first-rate, particularly the Trans-Am, a bracing stir of rye whiskey, apple brandy and the herbal liqueur Bénédictine. The food is a cut above your normal bar fare, too, including shrimp toasts with chili and herbs, seared skate and slow-roasted brisket.
