The stucco and stone-trimmed facade of Yonekichi, decorated with Japanese lanterns, looks like a window into a tiny house. A steady line forms on the sidewalk for rice burgers, each made fresh, not fast. Browned, soy sauce-brushed rice patties serve as the fragile bun, with fillings including pork shoulder, miso salmon, thinly sliced beef and onion or barbecued eel and avocado. On a pleasant day there's no pleasanter place to enjoy them immediately than on a bench set outside. Also, get a side of furi furi fries shaken in a sack with the salt of your choice (plain, yuzu, wasabi or plum kombu-cha and sansho pepper).
