NYC - The Official Guide

Jeffrey's Grocery

Starting at 8am on weekdays, locals pop into this sweet little market for shopping—breads, fresh produce, cheese, charcuterie, artisanal condiments, pasta—or for breakfast of lox on rye or quiche (brunch starts at 11am on weekends). Lunch is all about delicious sandwiches (braised brisket, chicken curry salad). In the afternoons and evenings, you'll see more people settling in for oysters and sparkling wine, New England clam chowder and plates of prosciutto, house-cured duck breast and salami. Owner Gabe Stulman has a record of success (Little Owl, Joseph Leonard) and an intuitive feel for how people like to eat right now.
