If you’re looking for subtle, subdued or merely functional furnishings, you should probably look elsewhere. Britain’s Tom Dixon made a name for himself in the ‘80s with his unconventional furniture designs including his S-Chair made for Italian furniture brand, Cappellini. While it may sound hokey to call them conversation pieces, the shop’s lighting, furniture and accessories are so inventive they look like works of art. The shop, which occupies four floors in the heart of SoHo, offers the full range of Dixon’s collection.
