Best Winter NYC Events

}

Believe it or not, a New York City winter is often best enjoyed outdoors, whether it’s gazing at the mesmerizing Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree, taking a turn on the ice at one of the City’s 14 public skating rinks, celebrating the Lunar New Year or partaking in the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade. There are also plenty of events to enjoy indoors, some of the most exciting of which include the substantial programming taking place at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in honor of its 150th anniversary; the always-stunning annual Orchid Show at the New York Botanical Garden; and exhibitions like Stanley Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey at the Museum of the Moving Image, Studio 54: Night Magic at Brooklyn Museum and City/Game: Basketball in New York City at the Museum of the City of New York. For details on these and many other happenings, read on.
