New York, NY --
Craft beer in the USA is a rapidly growing industry. There are more than 5,500 breweries across the country, which has led to tasting and appreciating craft beer becoming something akin to a pro sport, and many of the top of the league players make neighborhood taprooms their stomping ground.

Join the craft beer crowd as we explore the great taprooms of New York City’s new breweries. This brewery tour and "pup crawl" focuses on the best dog-friendly breweries in the Big Apple where you can try the freshest beers straight from the brewery and learn all about the craft beer industry in NYC and the USA. Dogs are more than welcome, but not required to enjoy this tour.

Stop At: Fifth Hammer Brewing, 10-28 46th Ave, Long Island City, NY 11101-5217

Owned by one of the city's craft beer celebrities, this is one of the newer taprooms in the neighborhood. The big space has a community vibe with lots of families with babies in tows and plenty of dogs with their thirsty owners. The beer styles run the gamut so be sure to get a peek into the brew house.
