It’s been called the heartland of New York City, an urban Eden. Local runners call it their home-base for marathon training and weekly races. Central Park is a man-made urban park that was designed and constructed from 1858 to 1873 by Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux. With 843 acres, the park is the largest and most popular urban park in the United States. Over 25 million people visits the park each year to enjoy its running paths, expansive open fields, ponds, lakes, rolling hills, rambling woods, the zoo, restaurants, Shakespeare in the Park, and much more. It’s no wonder why the Central Park tour is our most popular, as you are immediately transported from a hectic, crowded city to a beautiful, green, bucolic oasis.
Immerse yourself into New York City’s countryside on a 5 mile run which will take you on the main drive, winding treelined paths and the bridal path which is where people used to ride horses and still do on occasion.

We will make periodically stops to view and discuss notable points of interest throughout the tour. You should be able to comfortably run 5 miles for this tour. The duration of the tour is approximately 1 1/2 hours. Although your guide will run with a backpack and can store small items for you such as phones or keys, we recommend bringing very little on the tour.
