The Hammerstein Ballroom at the Manhattan Center is one of the City's oldest event and performance venues, built in 1906 by Oscar Hammerstein. Holding upward of 2,000 people, the space was originally home to an opera company but these days is host to a wide range of events including concerts, TV tapings, galas and even fashion shows. The space is located near 34th Street and Eighth Avenue, convenient to multiple subway lines and Penn Station.
