NYC - The Official Guide

The Maritime Hotel

This stylish hotel opened in summer 2003 and features not only round, porthole-esque windows but also teak furniture and a mostly blue, stately atmosphere. If you feel like you're boarding a ship, that's because it was once the National Maritime Union headquarters. Even if you don't spend the night in one of the hip rooms, you can dine at one of the hotel's beautifully appointed restaurants, or sip cocktails in its bars.
