Wingate Park

First opened in 1957, this nearly six-acre park is named after George Wood Wingate, one of the founders of the NRA. Used today by both the students of nearby George Wingate High School (which was built in 1954) as well as community members of all ages, the park features fitness equipment, a running track, soccer fields, playgrounds with safety surfacing, basketball courts, volleyball courts, handball courts and more.
