232 Bleecker

Suzanne Cupps (ex-Untitled at the Whitney) takes a vegetable-first approach at 232 Bleecker, although it is not a vegetarian restaurant—the menu is sensitive to all kinds of dietary restrictions. The West Village space is neighborhood casual, but the food is meticulously thought out, each plate a work of art. Heritage porchetta, marinated beets with black lentils and charred cauliflower with Concord grapes are gorgeous to behold. Whatever you do, don’t miss the chocolate mousse with toasted meringue.
