Footprints Cafe

It’s all about the Rasta pasta at Footprints Café, a trio of Jamaican eateries owned by Robert Gordon, who hails from the island nation. Penne is bathed in a creamy Italian-style sauce, blended with Caribbean spices and served with several protein options, including oxtail, jerk chicken, tilapia and shrimp. The Coney Island location (1521 Surf Ave.) is near the boardwalk and amusement park and is open until 2am (4am on Fridays and Saturdays); expect a party vibe the later it gets. The flagship Footprints in Canarsie (5814 Clarendon Rd.) is also a sit-down restaurant while the Flatbush branch (1377 Flatbush Ave.) is focused on takeout.
