The ground-floor restaurant in Chelsea’s chic Hotel Americano celebrates the best recipes from Mexico, Central and South America. Franklin Becker, a cookbook author and Top Chef Masters contender, collaborated with his kitchen staff to feature favorites from their native countries. Highlights include savory, crunchy churros to dip in a bowl of melted queso; tostadas topped with avocado and jewels of fresh tuna; mushroom and squash pupusas; and Creekstone skirt steak with chimichurri. It’s also a cool place to stop in for a cocktail before or after walking the nearby High Line.
