Ice cream sandwiches on purple velvet cake, double chocolate chunk cookies and giant s’mores are just a few of the treats dreamed up by Sherry Blockinger, a classically trained pastry chef. She launched her first dessert studio in Chappaqua, New York, and moved it to the Meatpacking District in March. The modern, clean storefront has around two dozen seats and a kind, patient staff adept at describing each confection. For something savory, there’s also a fantastic cheese board.
