Nasim Alikhani, a New Yorker for many years, honed her Persian cooking skills as a way to fight homesickness for her native Iran. In summer 2018, after her children were grown, she opened her first restaurant in Prospect Heights. The light, narrow space is lovely and so is the food, including cucumber yogurt dip with golden raisins, the catch of the day with tamarind sauce, and saffron ice cream with rosewater and pistachios.
