The Association of International Photography Art Dealers’ annual show, held at Pier 94, is one of the biggest fine-art photography shows in the world, featuring museum-quality work—everything from historic images from the 1800s to contemporary works by some of the biggest names in photography today. All are welcome here: collectors, admirers, photographers and artists. Special events include the exhibition A Room for Solace, in which curator Alec Soth explores the interiors of homes as places of refuge. This year’s AIPAD Talks cover topics like the evolution of LGBTQ art as well as the work of two artists who have cast a historical light on the US-Mexico border.
