This exhibit At the Museum at the Fashion Institute of Technology, explores over 70 accessories and clothing ensembles linked by the theme of survival through fashion via 70 different accessory and clothing items. See a Commes des Garcons parka jacket, Jean Paul Gauthier puffer coat and Helmut Lang jumpsuit among the articles on display. The galleries move through four extreme environments: desert, arctic, deep sea and the moon, to survey the sometimes controversial interplay between fashion, the environment and its resources.
