This is the first New York museum exhibition dedicated to the work of this French-born, NYC-raised feminist and activist, who was the only female member of the Nouveau Réalisme group. Among the topics she explored were women's rights, climate change and HIV/AIDS awareness. The show encompasses more than 100 works created between the 1970s and Saint Phalle's death in 2002.
